Training

The program follows a "2+3" model, which allows students to first develop a fundamental knowledge base and then gain in-depth knowledge in their field of expertise.

During the first two years, all students master a single core set of disciplines — the "core" of the program. This includes key subjects that develop fundamental knowledge in the legal, social, and economic spheres of state and societal activity.

From the third year onward, students primarily study specialized disciplines aimed at developing professional competencies.

From their first year onward, students are encouraged to participate in research projects, acquire technological entrepreneurship skills, participate in university cultural and sporting events, and participate in volunteer activities.

The program culminates with the preparation and defense of a final qualifying thesis. Students select their research topic from a sample list compiled after discussions with representatives of customs and other law enforcement agencies, employees of financial institutions, and business representatives. With the approval of the department, students may propose their own topic, depending on the specifics of their internship.

Examples of final qualifying work topics:

  • Organization of the identification of currency law violations by customs authorities;
  • Expert research and its use for the purposes of control and customs valuation before and/or after the release of goods;
